Mov Rev: Children of Men

I really liked this film, the ideas behind it are very close to a short story I wrote, so I obviously find the subject matter interesting. I thought the storyline was good, interesting characters played well by a mixture of well known and new faces, the action scenes are very intense with some great effects and camera work. The whole thing is very gritty which I liked and all the clever futuristic gadgets and news clips all seem very plausible and add icing to the cake. Michael Caine is excellent (as usual) and Clive Owen is definitely growing on me, though not enough yet to forgive him for the dire King Arthur.

8 out of 9

Better than King Arthur, not as good as living in a world without all those annoying children.

Corfu Photos

Been on holiday in Corfu, very nice. Hopefully got some good photos which I will post here once I fix my PC that decided it needs a new BIOS chip.

Corfu port in the light of the setting Sun..

An old Greek fishing guy at dawn, this guy was out every day..
The streets of Corfu town..

Fishing in Kassiopi Bay..
Statue in the Achillion Palace (as used in James Bond:For your eyes only)

A big storm brewing, the sky was amazing and the storm was massive. Certainly the most amount of lightning I've ever seen at one time.
Note fisherman guy still out at sea in lightning storm - hardcore!
Sunrise ..
Sunset..
Rainbow, looking out towards distant Albania.

More Holiday Photos

Photos from a visit to Albania - this (and the storm) were highlights of the holiday for me:

Culture clash - fishermen rowing out in front of the widespread hotel development.

Rope river crossing - note old Mercedes, at least 90% of cars there were pre-1996 communist era Mercedes Benz.

Photos from in and around the Butrint Unesco world heritage site.
