Sunnydale, Wales

Bad weather for flies (thankfully), when it stopped raining they headed straight for the nearest walker to harass them.
A rare break in the clouds, quick snap before it disappeared!
Me looking really happy with the low cloud. Snowdon will have to wait until next year..

Thunder Cats

More north Wales pics, with heavy and persistant rain hampering most plans we visited Conwy mountain zoo. It seemed pretty good for the most part, with a few sad sights, but the big cat enclosures were good compared to some I've seen.

North Wales trip

Just back from camping in north wales, the tent just about held up to the amount of rain that lashed down upon it!

Good weather for ducks, rust and waterfalls.

More pics to follow...

Urbanography

I fancied a change from bugs, deers and rolling hills at the weekend, swapping them for gritty decaying urban scenes...

... and Pulteney Bridge in Bath, which I guess is kind of posh urban.

Close Encounters

I managed to get up close with a wild deer on thursday, sneaking up through a wood to within just a few meters, it was a great moment - especially as the deer wasn't even bothered about me even when it noticed me.

Young fawn hiding in a corn field.

Plus a few macro bugs (again).

Rescue Dogs

Apologies for the info-less post below, I guess I was in a rush. The dogs are Newfoundland water rescue dogs who show a natural instinct to save people who get in trouble at sea. Often used by fishing boats, there are many tales of fishermen being saved by their dogs who are capable of pulling people to safety. It was great to see them loving their work so much.
