Just having a quick play in photoshop, a colour square
made of past photos. Thought I'd share.
Photos taken around Swindons Railway Works, built in 1843 to build and service GWR steam engines running between Bristol and London.

Expanding over the turn of the century to build ship engines, the works also produced a dozen large howitzers during 1914 for the first world war.

During the 2nd world war it produced gun mountings and tank turret rings, until in 1947 it was producing 60 new steam engines a year.

With some decent weather over the long weekend I managed to get out and about, camera in tow as usual. First up, two photos of building details in Corsham. One from St Barts church (parts of which date back over 1000 years) and the second taken at the dis-used Corsham train station (closed in the 1960s).

Visited the UK Wolf Conservation Trust at the weekend.. walking through the local woods with captive wolves that serve as hands on ambassadors to wild wolf preservation around the world.
Alba, male Amercan wolf, is 10 years old and walks with a stagger since breaking his neck whilst being overly boisterous.
