Shadow Boxing

With some relatively pleasant weather at the weekend it was out and about for a wander along a valley heading out of Box, Wiltshire (of Brunels Box tunnel fame).  With lots of hazey clouds for a natural diffuser, it was spot-on for a few moody black and white photos..

First up, a 1950s Ford Anglia.  The budget car of its age, it cost £300, had 3 gears and a top speed of 57mph.  Some great curves, details and light/shade, certainly a thousand times more photogenic than most new cars, where health and safety and a wind-tunnel blows away any character.

A stairwell inside Rudloe Manor, a now derelict house within the grounds of the Joint Forces base at Corsham.  Which sits on top of a giant underground aircraft engine factory, built in world war 2.  The buildings have been used in a range of roles, from an RAF fighter Control station to a satellite communication site (Skynet) in the 1960's.

Lastly...  rat catchers taking a break.
